What activities do you offer?
Here at Eddie Irvine’s Sports Centre we offer wide range of activities. All our facilities are indoor and include Karting, Laser Combat, Padel Tennis, Footpool, 3G Pitches, Bubble Football (Zorb), Snooker tables, Pool tables and Room2Race which consists of 16 single screen simulators and 6 Triple screen simulators.
During the winter months we advise customers to wrap up warm as it can get quite cold in the main activity centre.
Centre Opening Times
10am – 10pm Monday to Saturday
12pm – 10pm Sunday
Football pitches, Snooker, Footpool and Padel Tennis are all available from 10am
Karts, Laser, Racing Simulators, and Bubble Football are available before 3pm by prior appointment.

Are there Public Transport Facilities nearby?

Are there car parking facilities?
Yes Eddie Irvine Sports Centre has a free car park on site.
Can I purchase Gift Vouchers?
Yes you can purchase gift vouchers online through our website or by calling into our reception. Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 month from date of purchase. Gift vouchers can be purchased to the value of £5, £10, £20 or £25 through our website. For a different value please contact reception directly on 02891 451457.
We also offer Multi Activity Gift vouchers for £30. Includes 6 activities - Karting, F1 Simulators, Motorbike Simulators, Real Crazy Golf (replaced with Footdarts), Footpool and Padel Tennis. Go to our Gift Voucher page for more info. (Happy Birthday Card option available)
Charity Donations/Fundraising Prizes
At Eddie Irvine Sport’s we are in great support of local charities and organisations. We wish to help as many local causes as we can, though it is not always possible.

Do you have a cafe onsite?
We do not currently have a café or a canteen onsite. We have an outside caterer for children’s parties and corporate events which operate the Burger Van and Marquee with prior booking arrangements. If you would like to make catering arrangements for your event please contact reception. (You cannot bring your own food into the marquee.)
There are vending machines and tea/coffee amenities in reception.
Nearby eating spots: The Pitstop Café is located next door to Eddie Irvine’s Sports and they have eating in and takeaway options available.
Do you have a bar onsite?
No, Alcohol can not be consumed before or during activities. The management serves the right to turn away anyone suspected of drinking alcohol. Your deposit (if one has been paid) will not be refunded.
Information on Children’s parties
Celebration cakes are welcomed for parties, the caterer has a cake knife for cutting.
Kids Meals options include: Chicken Nuggets, Burger/Veggie Burger, Sausages or Fish Fingers and comes with chips, a drink, ice cream and a treat bag. Please let us know if any children have food allergies or are gluten free and we can advise of the best options.
The treat bags consist of crisps and sweets. If you would like to bring along extra sweets or favours for the parties you can do so.
A Deposit of £50 is required for all children's parties. (If in the event you need to cancel your booking please notify the centre 7 days' prior to your booking or your deposit will be null and void.)
Policy on Deposits and Refunds
Most activities/events/parties will require a deposit to confirm and secure a booking. Childrens parties require a £50 deposit whilst Race Formats, Laser Combat and Bubble Football will require a deposit of £100, or £10pp for groups of more than 10 people.
Room2Race parties of 12 or more will also require a deposit of £50.
We will ensure flexibility to all new and existing bookings who wish to reschedule. If you need to cancel your event or reschedule please contact reception as soon as possible on 02891 451457
Can any of your activities be brought to our venue?
Yes some of our activities are portable and can be brought to your venue. We may need to carry out a risk assessment to ensure your venue is suitable for certain activities.
Portable activities include: Bubble Football, Footdarts, Laser Combat and Racing Simulators.
How long is the Karting track?
Our karting track is approx. 400 metres long and is designed to challenge drivers of all abilities.
What karts do you have and how fast can they go?
We have Biz Evo 2 GX 270cc Karts for Adults and Biz Evo cadet GX160 for Kids and they can reach speeds of up to 40mph.
Are there any restrictions on age or height for karting?
There is a height restriction of 130cm and children must be 8 years old to kart.
Indoor Karting has a driver’s weight limit of 18 stone/115kgs.
We have 1 hand-operated kart available for persons who do not have full functionality in their legs. Please request this in advance of your booking.
Tablet registration is required before going through to the track. Under 18's will require a countersignature from a parent/guardian.
What do I need to wear?
We advise wearing comfortable clothing and trainers or flat shoes for driving. Hair should be tied back and no loose clothing can be worn, e.g. scarfs.
What items of protection do you provide for drivers?
We will provide racing overalls, gloves, hair nets and helmets for all drivers. Balaclavas can be purchased from £1.50pp to keep.
Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes you can bring your own helmet if it is a MX Helmet with goggles.
Use of GoPros
The use of Go Pros is allowed as long as they can be firmly attached to your helmet.

How many can be on track at once?
Maximum number of racers on our track is kept to 8. We have introduced a new track layout in January 2018 which is slightly shorter.
If there are too many out on track, at any one time, it becomes congested and it is hard for racers to achieve fast laps and enjoy the karting experience fully. Mixing young kids and adults is divided where possible.
Do you provide Karting Tuition?
Yes we can deliver karting tuition for your child to help enhance their racing talent and allow them to compete in competitions. Tuition costs £50 per hour and is track exclusive. Tuition delivered by Stuart Miller
Do you run any karting competitions?
Yes we run a summer Karting Academy for 8 – 14years old and competitions throughout the year. Subscribe to our mailing list to be kept up to date with our events or go to our Events page on our website.
Are there any age restrictions for Laser Combat?
Children need to be at least 8 years old or currently in P4 to participate in Laser Combat.
Field Material is dry bark mulch and may not be suitable for persons with severe asthma.
What do I wear?
Though we provide camouflage suits, we advise all participants to wear old clothing and trainers/flat shoes. We want all of our customers to experience the combat zone, to hit the dirt and to get fully involved.
What do you provide for participants in the combat zone?
We provide camouflage suits and laser guns for all participants.
Is the combat zone in darkness?
The combat zone is dimmed but not pitch black. Exit signs will be lit at all times if anyone needs to leave the combat zone for any reason. There will be a full safety briefing at the beginning of your experience.
What size is the combat zone?
The combat zone is a 4000 square foot indoor arena.
Are there any restrictions for participants to play Bubble (Zorb) Football?
Age: Children need to be at least 10 years old.
Height: Minimum Height 4'8 feet (143cm), Maximum 6’6 feet
Weight: Maximum 17 stone (118kgs)
What is Bubble Football?
Bubble Football, also known as Zorb football is playing normal football inside an inflatable bubble, only your legs will be out at the bottom to enable you to kick the football about. Go to our ‘Activities’ page for more info.
Is Bubble played indoor or outdoor?
Bubble Football is played indoors on one of our 3G pitches.

How many pitches do you have?
There are six 3G Pitches in the centre.
What are 3G pitches?
3rd Generation pitches are the most successful improvement in synthetic surface technology designed for sports at both competitive and recreational levels. In 3G turf, the artificial grass is supported by a thin base layer of sand, and by an infill of rubber crumb.
Are there any footwear restrictions?
No blades, studs or moulds are permitted to be worn on the pitches.
Can I block book a pitch weekly?
Yes you can block book, please pick a form up from Reception, read over the contract, sign and leave back to reception.
I have a block booking; if I miss a week will you cancel my future reservations?
If you have a block booking and you miss a week, we won’t cancel your slot unless it happens more than once. If you are unable to make a week, please call and advise the reception team.
Are there any reduced rates for block booking?
As a sign of loyalty to our customers, we offer the opportunity of a free pitch with every 10 bookings using the Eddie Irvine Sports app.
Are there any restrictions to use the racing simulators?
Single & Triple Screen Simulators are suitable for both adults and children whom are over 125cm (booster seats are available).
I am having an event; can you transport your simulators to my location?
Yes the Simulators are mobile and can be brought to your venue for an event. If you are interested in hiring our Sims please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 02891451457.
A risk assessment may need to be carried out to ensure the venue is suitable for the simulator(s) to be set up.
