Brandon McCaughan heads to Brands Hatch
Over the weekend we welcomed Brandon McCaughan down to Eddie Irvine Sports as he starts his preparation for the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch next weekend.
Brandon has taken to single seater racing at incredible pace, reaching the podium at Kirkistown this season.
Our racing simulators allowed Brandon to experience the drastic elevation changes of the Brands Hatch Indy circuit using our state of the art Virtual Reality headsets
He now knows what to expect as he plunges down Paddock Hill bend up into Druids next weekend!
This years Formula Ford Festival marks it’s 50th Anniversary and has a stacked lineup of over 100 drivers. The special occasion has inspired some ex-Formula One drivers to dust off their helmets and squeeze back into the cockpit of a FF1600 including former Grand Prix driver and 1992 Festival winner Jan Magnussen!
The Formula Ford Festival is held every year at the end of the season and claiming victory is the perfect launch pad for a successful career in top flight motorsport….just ask Mark Webber, Jenson Button and our very own Eddie Irvine!
Brandon hopes to follow in the footsteps of Eddie and reach the world of Formula One some day. We wish him all the best for next weeks race!
